- Tense: Tense refers to the time frame in which the action of a verb takes place. The three main tenses in English are past, present, and future.
- Modifiers: Adjectives and adverbs are used to modify nouns and verbs. Adjectives modify nouns and pronouns, while adverbs modify verbs, adjectives, and other adverbs.
- Subject-verb agreement: The verb in a sentence must agree with the subject in number. If the subject is singular, the verb must be singular, and if the subject is plural, the verb must be plural.
- Pronouns: Pronouns are words that take the place of nouns. Personal pronouns (e.g., I, you, he, she, it) refer to specific people or things, while indefinite pronouns (e.g., everyone, anybody) do not refer to a specific person or thing.
